Quality of Life Task Force

In January, Cobb County Board of Commissioners announced a new Quality of Life Task Force, which brings together Code Enforcement Officers and Police Officers to work together as a unit to enforce zoning codes, as well as other laws generally under the enforcement of the Police Department.

The unit will begin working in high crime statistic areas. The task force will allow Code Enforcement Officers and Police Officers to keep a closer eye on violations that could possibly signal criminal activity.

The Code Enforcement Division will continue to investigate and enforce zoning complaints from the public on a daily basis. The Quality of Life Unit will enforce public safety violations as well as zoning code violations as required.
