The offices of the Community Development Agency has moved to a new location. The Agency relocation includes all offices and associated functions that were formerly housed at the building located at 191 Lawrence Street, Marietta, Ga. 30060. This includes the Administrative office of the Agency Director, Rob Hosack, and the following Divisions of Community Development: Business License, Code Enforcement, Development & Inspections, Planning, Zoning and the Erosion section. The physical address of the new location is 1150 Powder Springs St., Suite 400, Marietta, Ga. 30064. The mailing address for the Community Development Agency is P.O. Box 649, Marietta, Ga. 30061.

Effective July 1, 2008 pursuant to Georgia law O.C.G.A. 43-41 Builders and General Contractors will be required to have a contractors license as issued by the State of Georgia Licensing Board in order to obtain construction permits in the State of Georgia. Some limited service and traditional specialty contractors are exempt from the licensing requirements.
